Abstract

{5-[2-(Benzoxazol-2-ylmethylamino)ethoxy]-1-methyl-1 H-indol-3-yl } acetic acid was designed and synthesized as β-amyloid (Aβ) fibril assembly inhibitors, and evaluated for inhibition of Aβ aggregation. Compound 7b provides a possible lead fur further structural modification towards potential β-amyloid aggregation inhibitors to treat Alzheimer’s disease.
